    Chapter one describes why transnational coproduction partnerships between migrant groups and the sending state have different organizational forms and how this variation affects political and civic participation and government responsiveness. This chapter provides a theoretical framework for analyzing the effects of migrant public goods provision across and within Mexican communities.
