This chapter charts the transatlantic erotic relationship of two men: “Johnny,” the author’s principal informant, and “Justice,” a West African man. Johnny moved from Oakland, California, to a West African city to begin a relationship with Justice. Their relationship prompts the author to consider West African attitudes toward homosexual relationships between Caucasian and African men. These relationships take on quite foreign connotation: financial gain, internet scams, and occultism.
